There are so many things that are true, & there are still things that we need to prove to make true. To me God is true and everythings the Bible says, so I decided to choose God. I know for a fact that God is real and I quote my English teacher ” Just ask God and he will tell you,”  so I did and I said ” if your real answer my prayer so I have no more doubts about you,” and he did. He answered my prayers. Many people may say how do I know God  is real. It is truly very hard to believe something we can’t feel , touch, or smell is true, but if you think out of the box it seems accurate. People such as Scientologist believe in Evolution and they can make sense and it  seems correct but when you question them on a subject it can be hard for them to answer it, for example the Big Bang Theory, when you ask them how did it happen they get stuck and they can’t answer you. So then that is when you believe in God. So I follow what I believe which is believeing in God.

♥What do I really need????

1. What do I need from my parents?

Every child wants something from their parents, even if it is love, attention, time, support etc. I really love my family, they are the best, they can be very over protective but it is because they love me. I sometimes feel like I just want to run away, but then I think again and realize who else is going to give me the things they gave me, it isn’t like I have another family who can provide what they have provided for me through out my life. Some things I need from my parents would probably be, to have conversation between all of us, because we don’t eat dinner like family. I would also like a little less attention from them, because I feel like my brother gets jealous because Im always getting what I want. Some people may I want more attention but not me!!!!! ♥

Discovering my culture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. What do I want to learn from my culture?

My family and I come from El Salvador. Even though I’ve been there and my parents talk to me about it there is much I don’t know. For example how come the currency of El Salvador is different from USA currency. I really want to find out how different El Salvador was one-hundred years ago from now, I am guessing I wasn’t anything alike. I haven’t completely been all over El Salvador, so I want to find out the best places to visit there. When I traveled to El Salvador I try to locate where the President lives but I can’t find it, so it will be interesting to see where he lives. When I went to the beach in El Salvador and when I went swimming, I realized that the water in El Salvador is salty and hot, and unlike USA that is the complete opposite. Every flag has its own design and reasons to why it is like that. So I want to find out why it is as it is. When I tell my family I want to get a job in El Salvador they tell me that I shouldn’t because the pay is much more less over there than USA, and I can never quite figure why that is. Every July, there is a fair and a party in El Salvador, I don’t know what they are celebrating so it would be very intersting to  find out. In every country that is latino/hispanic they celebrate a girls fifteenth birthday which we call Quineanera, but why? and how come it can’t be another age like 16, 17, 18…????

So even though you may think that you know everything on your culture think twice because there is alot more we need to know!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m proud to be from El Salvador!!!

Being Salvadorian is such a blessing, we have so many traditions and things that we celebrate that makes being a Salvadorian great. If I had to put three aspects of my culture into a box they would probably be things that my culture would want to make known to everyone around the world. Some major traditions that my culture celebrates would be that, the name “ El Salvador” means our savior who is Jesus Christ. So each year our culture has a celebration honoring our savior. Another thing would be traditional outfits that we were. One last thing I would add to the box would be a list of ingredients that we had to make our famous dish, Pupusas. But if i had to more than three aspects in a box my list would be huge.

So those are the things that I would add to a box, that represent me and my culture.

Yay El Salvador!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Success means…..

When you hear the word success what comes to your mind? Well, when i hear it, alot of things come to my mind!

Success to me means completing all the goals in your life and achieving them well or to the point which satifies you. In life their are bound to be many things one wants to achieve. In my life I have achieved many things, from winning a trophy to being the best me i can be, but I still have many more things I want to accomplish. The things in life that I want to accomplish and do great are graduating high school; holding my diploma; making my family proud, going to to college/university and becoming what ever i want to be, becoming a very religious person, having a family to what i can be called “Mommy” and being the best mom i can be. One last thing i want to be successful at is being wealthy, people may say just having money doesn’t mean your successful and i can see what they mean, but without money it can be really hard living without it, because without having money how am I going to support my family, or become a doctor, helping my parents etc,. So having wealth can mean being “SUCCESSFUL”

Domino’s Pizza inc. vs. Mcdonalds

John Mcdonalds was an African American entrepenuer. He is part owner of JWM. He was supposed to build for franchise restaurants and rent it to Domino’s once they signed the contracts. When Mcdonalds went to claim the contracts, he said that the woman supposedly told him to back away or he will get hurt.  He also stated that the woman allegedly said ” I don’t like working with you people anyway. ” He said that the lady said these words without explaining it. The contracts were never signed. Instead, JWM filed a bankruptcy against Domino’s. They demamded a $45,000 payment from Domino’s. In addition, they also filed a demand stating that Domino’s didn’t fulfill its part due to racial discrimination. The court rejected John Mcdonald’s arguement . They stated that contracts that were not legally settled or filed are not obliged to be signed. The People who were supposed to sign it have a choice of either signing it or rejecting it.

Francesca’s Opinion:

In my opinion, I don’t think that Domino’s should be sued for racial discrimination. Mcdonald may have taken the remark a different way. How is he sure that the remark was meant to be a racial insult without consulting the alleged women, and lastly, accusations without complete evidence is against the law.

Kimberly’s Opinion:

My opinion is that since racial discrimination occurred I think that John Mcdonald’s should sue Domino’s Pizza. After hearing the quote ” i don’t like dealing with you people anyways” it is clearly not respectful and it is messed up,  so either way this quote is an insult to him. Even though it isn’t a racial insult she should at least say sorry or explain herself or she should  just keep her mouth shut instead of creating a big problem.

My Reflective essay

At the beginning of this project I thought it was going to be fun, creative, a new experience, and something good to learn. But to me, all that changed once we started. I’m not saying doing this project was bad. I’m saying the things I had to go through was bad. This project took a lot of cooperation, communication, and patience. But I had not mastered them completely. I was told to do all of this for this project, but even so I didn’t incorporate this into the project at all. The first couple of days of this project I was doing good until, there was a problem that had to do with cooperation. As time passed we fixed this problem and we worked as a group. Towards the end it sort of got better but not really, we worked as a group, but we had little communication, and some people we being bossy. But I guess that is what I deserve. My experience talking to the Canadian students was fun, but since they weren’t here in California it mad things even harder, I actually would do this again. What I learned from this is to listen to other ideas, to talk about it, have patience, and to cooperate. This will help me in my future because in high school and especially in college there are going to be projects that are done by talking to students in other places. Some advice I would give others is to have communicated first with ALL your partners, then start the project, discuss everything you all are doing, listen to one another, have a lot of patience, and work with anyone and don’t leave anyone out. All this advice helped me towards the end and hopefully on a next project that has to do with talking to other students in another country I will do better.

chapters eleven and twelve

These are the last chapters to the Outsiders. This book inspired me alot and i loved reading it, in the last chapters I think the word Friendship comes to my mind. Because the GReasers stick together as friends and you can feel the big bond between the three brothes and a strong friendship that will last. Also you can feel the friendship between every greaser and how they all stick up for each and every one of them. SO friendship is the right word.

THE END!

Chapters 9 and 10

For these chapters I chose the word fear. Fear means being afraid of things. In these paticular chapters their is alot of fear going on. For example they socs had fear in playing in the rumble, Ponyboy and Dally had fear when Jhonny died. Darry and soda had fear when Ponyboy got really sick before, during, and after the rumble. THere is alot of emotions that happen throughout these chapters but in these paticular chapters fear is the most important to me.

In Chapters Seven and Eight there were many emotions that were their. For example some characters were sad, hurt, in pain, tired, mad, sorry, and in fear. But what was really noticed was Survival. Not many people can survive in fires and breaking a back. So my word is survival. Survival represents Jhonny, Ponyboy, and Dally saving the lives of other children while being inside a burning church with pieces of stone and wood hitting them. If that were me I would be scared and maybe really really hurt and injured. Also survival can define when Jhonny and Ponyboy survived on their own with no adult supervision and not many children at their age can do that. I know I wouldn’t be able to survive without my parents with me. So I think the word survival really defines this chapter.
